Abstract: The talk will include methodological introduction to in vivo MR spectroscopy across different nuclei. An overview of MRS sequences will follow, with particular emphasis on the modulation of J-coupling evolution as both a constraint and a powerful tool to enhance spectral selectivity and improve metabolite detection. General principles of quantification will then be addressed, including modeling approaches, macromolecular characterization, and systematic sources of bias affecting concentration estimates. An overview of the selected studies will illustrate the translational potential of methodological developments, with applications for oncology and other pathological conditions.
